We are delighted to extend a warm invitation to all visiting Brethren to join us at our next Instalation Meeting on Wednesday 18th February, where the Lodge will be installing W.Bro Wes Pierce. Witnessing a ceremony at Amwell is truly an experience like no other, and we look forward to sharing another memorable evening of Freemasonry with our guests at the “Premier Lodge of Hertfordshire“.

Amwell Lodge No. 6459 meets regularly throughout the Masonic year, providing a welcoming environment for Brethren to gather, enjoy Freemasonry, and strengthen friendships both old and new.

Our meetings take place at the Mayflower Place, Hertingfordbury, a venue rich in tradition and camaraderie, with excellent facilities for both the ceremonial and social aspects of Freemasonry.

Meeting Schedule

Amwell Lodge meets four times a year:

• September – Third Wednesday
• February – Third Wednesday (Installation Meeting)
• May – Third Wednesday
• December – First Wednesday (Festive White Table Meeting with Carols)

Meetings usually begin in the late afternoon, followed by a traditional Masonic Festive Board where Brethren and guests share a meal, conversation, and the warmth of Lodge fellowship.

What to Expect

Each meeting includes the formal Lodge proceedings, whether that be an Initiation, a Passing, a Raising, or the Installation of the new Worshipful Master in February. We also host lectures, demonstrations, and occasional guest speakers to enrich the experience for members and visitors alike.

Following the Lodge work, Brethren reset the area for a dining room for the Festive Board—a vital part of Masonic life where friendships are cemented over a meal and traditional Masonic toasts are given.

Visiting Brethren

We are always pleased to welcome visitors from other Lodges. If you are a Brother wishing to visit Amwell Lodge, please contact our Secretary in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

Whether you are newly Initiated, an experienced Freemason, or a Brother returning to Freemasonry after time away, you will receive a warm Amwell Lodge welcome.
